Emerging Threats started as a community-based, security research project focused on cyber-security intelligence gathering, analysis, and distribution. Collaboration with Metaflows and other industry pioneers has enabled Emerging Threats to become a leading centralized repository and distribution point of defensive security tools and intelligence. Emerging Threats (formerly Bleeding Snort and Bleeding Threats) updates its security feeds daily and exemplifies the collaborative nature of the Internet.
Cyber-Threat Analytics Project is a research consortium aimed at accelerating the ability of organizations to defend against Internet-scale threats. Cyber-TA has brought together leading researchers in large-scale network intrusion defenses with leaders from the information privacy community to yield next-generation, wide-area collaborative defense technologies that maximally balance the needs for contributor privacy with the need for rich-content data to drive new threat detection and mitigation systems. Much of Metaflows' research was carried out in collaboration with key members of the Cyber-TA team. The SRI Malware Threat Center was developed under Cyber-TA and is today a major source of Malware detection security intelligence for Metaflows.
Amazon Web Services offers the premier cloud computing platform that provides re-sizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers and allows configuring capacity with minimal friction. Metaflows is now part of the Amazon AWS solution providers offering a unique cloud-based security solution that spans both virtual cloud-based assets and traditional network assets. Metaflows also heavily relies on Amazon EC2 services to host its global IDS/IPS services.
Solutionary is a managed service provider with a very established customer base in the financial sector and fortune 500 companies. We have been entering in co-selling opportunities with Solutionary to improve their competitive advantage in monitoring and preventing Malware. We are also in preliminary talks to explore ways our companies can collaborate even more closely.
